Photo Flash: 6th Street Playhouse's INTIMATE APPAREL
By: Nicole Rosky Feb. 17, 2011
6th Street Playhouse presents "Intimate Apparel," by Lynn Nottage. Set in 1905, this moving story follows Esther, a talented, lonely, unmarried African American seamstress who creates intimate apparel for women of New York society and prostitutes.
Esther's desire for love, affection and a better life weaves her into the complicated pattern of early 20th century society where she finds The Common thread that unites and divides.
