42nd Street Moon ends the 2009/10 season with Kiss The Boys Goodbye: The Songs of Broadway and Hollywood in the 1940s, a gala concert at the Alcazar Theater on June 21. For one magical evening, the company will celebrate the songs that kept the home fires burning (and singing) during World War II, and others that reflected the jubilation and prosperity of the post-war era.
The evening will feature the talent of many favorite 42nd Street Moon performers including Pierce Peter Brandt, Tami Dahbura, Bill Fahrner, Sarah Kathleen Farrell, AlexandraKaprielian, Anil Margsahayam, Carly Ozard, Benjamion Pither, Darlene Popovic and Jimmy Robertson. Also participating will be Artistic Directors Greg MacKellan and Stephanie Rhoads, and Music Director Dave Dobrusky. The Gala kicks off on Monday, May 21 at 5:30 p.m. with hors d'oeuvres and a silent auction, with the performance following at 7 p.m. The Alcazar is located at 650 Geary Street, 3 blocks west of Union Square. Tickets at $100 ($75 tax deductible) may be purchased through the Box Office at 415/255-8207 or online at www.42ndstmoon.org.
