The Dance Event of the Summer, DancerPalooza, Moves to San Diego For its Fifth Year

DancerPalooza is a comprehensive one-of-a-kind dance experience for dance fans and enthusiasts, running July 24 - 29 at the San Diego Convention Center. For one week, under one roof, DancerPalooza brings together the dance world: the industry's top professional choreographers, the hottest young dancers from TV and film, master teachers, dance professionals and dance students of all ages. Last year in Long Beach DancerPalooza welcomed over 5,000 dancers and enthusiasts to participate in the annual six-day festival. Now, in its fifth year -- and for the first time in San Diego -- DancerPalooza promises to be even bigger and better.

DancerPalooza offers a wide variety of opportunities for everyone interested in dance from seasoned professionals to the general public. The dance extravaganza features seven different Intensives, highly focused and extensive dance master classes concentrating on a variety of styles, including contemporary, tap, hip-hop, jazz funk and ballet, taught by today's biggest names in dance. Each Intensive culminates in a performance or video presentation of the week's work. Dancers can also take Crash Courses, dance workshops in all genres and for all levels, taught by leading choreographers and dance teachers. And a highlight of the festival is the three-day Beat Street, a dance expo hall with free admittance that features special performances from the hottest young dancers of TV and film working today. Also offered on Beat Street are free swag bags, opportunities to enter free prize giveaways and access to 100+ dance vendors. Visitors can bring the whole family and come for an afternoon, a day or all three days - all for FREE.

The Intensive Directors and Crash Course Instructors include an array of some of the most visible and known dancers working today, giving all participants professional-level training: they include Mandy Moore (2017 Outstanding Choreography Emmy Award Winner, "La La Land" choreographer, "So You Think You Can Dance," "Dancing With The Stars") Travis Wall (2015 and 2017 Outstanding Choreography Emmy Award Winner, "So You Think You Can Dance" Choreographer), tWitch ("So You Think You Can Dance" All-Star/Choreographer, star of "Step Up" and "Ellen" DJ), NappyTabs (Napoleon and Tabitha, choreography seen on "So You Think You Can Dance"), Lex Ishimoto (2017 Winner of "So You Think You Can Dance"), Randi Kemper & Hefa Tuita, Nika Kljun, Teddy Forance, Talia Favia, Chaz Buzan, Martha Nichols, and many, many more.
