Photo Flash: Donny Most SINGS AND SWINGS at LA's Catalina Club
By: BWW News Desk
Donny Most appeared before a standing room only capacity at the Catalina Club last week with "Donny Most Sings and Swings." Although best known for the role of "Ralph Malph" in the hit series "Happy Days," it is his first love as a skilled singer that is literally taking center stage now. Scroll down for photos from the concert!
Most's style is reminiscent of era that has and continues to thrive. His Rat Pack quality seems to bring in audiences of all ages and backgrounds, as he offers classic renditions of "Lady Is A Tramp," "It Had to Be You," "Im Beginning To See The Light," "I've Got You Under My Skin," "Shake, Rattle & Roll," "Mack The Knife," and much more. Shifting easily between vocal styles, Most pays homage to The Chairman of the Board, Dean Martin, and his idol Bobby Darin, while paying tribute to the path that brought him back to his musical roots. Just as younger audiences have embraced Tony Bennett, while retaining his original fan base, so to it appears that Don Most has tapped into that which keeps audiences coming back for more -- a love of good music. Most's engagements vary, from a seven-piece combo to a seventeen piece ensemble. "Donny Most Sings and Swings" will be following their Catalina engagement with appearances at Martinis Above 4th (Plaza On Fourth, 3940 4th Avenue, San Diego, CA 92103 619-400-4500) on March 19th, with a pending return engagement on April 9th at The Rockwell Stage and Table (1714 North Vermont Avenue, Los Angeles, CA 90027 323-669-1550).
