Neil DeGrasse Tyson Comes To Civic Theatre

Everyone's favorite astrophysicist, author, and science communicator is coming to the Civic Theatre to share his inside knowledge about science and the movies.

Tyson regularly appears on television, radio, and various other media outlets and has been a regular guest on The Colbert Report. People Magazine even called him in the year 2000, the "Sexiest Astrophysicist Alive." Since 1996, he has been the Frederick P. Rose Director of the Hayden Planetarium at the Rose Center for Earth and Space in New York City.

In this event, Tyson covers films like Star Wars and Frozen to The Martian. This promises to be an entertaining and enlightening review of all the science that our favorite movies got wrong, combined with some of the stuff they got right. He incorporates the latest films, as well as some classics that you may not have known had any science in them at all.
