Lamb's Players Theatre to Host CROWN AWARDS, 11/3
Lamb's Players Theatre announced today they will host the fourth Crown Awards honoring key volunteers of some of Coronado's leading non-profit organizations on Sunday, November 3rd, 2013. Carol LeBeau, Coronado resident and former news anchor at Channel 10, will once again emcee this event. Coronado Mayor, Casey Tanaka will be presenting the awards to the honorees. The Crown Awards take place from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Lamb's Coronado theatre at 1142 Orange Avenue.
The purpose of the Crown Awards is to recognize the work of volunteers at local non-profit organizations and to encourage future volunteerism. Eight Coronado non-profits will participate, each choosing a volunteer to receive this year's Crown Award. Honorees are selected based on their commitment to the organization and for volunteerism that goes above and beyond reasonable expectations. Their passion for the mission and vision of the organization are also key factors in being selected. ?"Volunteers are the unsung heroes of non-profit organizations," said Robert Smyth, Producing Artistic Director at Lamb's Players Theatre. "Their hard work and commitment helps these organizations to continue to function. After a year's hiatus, Lamb's is thrilled to host this event again. Celebrating the amazing work and commitment of local volunteers is so important, as they are a vital part of what makes Coronado such a remarkable city." ??Each Crown Honoree will receive an engraved award acknowledging their organization's appreciation for their excellent volunteerism.
