Diversionary Theatre Opens SHE-RANTULAS FROM OUTER SPACE, 11/2

Diversionary Theatre's production of She-Rantulas from Outer Space -in 3-D! opens at Diversionary Theatre on November 2nd, 2013.

This thrilling 90-minute comedy of horrors draws inspiration from classic cult B-Horror films of the 1950's, and turns the genre on its side and inside out with laugh-out-loud gender-bending hilarity.

The piece is entirely originated in San Diego by local comedic favorites Phil Johnson, and Ruff Yeager. The authors describe the show this way, "there will be carnage! There will be destruction! There will be men in women's clothing! The Management requests that you PLEASE not reveal the SHOCKING final scene to friends or family members, and guarantee to BURY YOU without charge if you die of FRIGHT. To avoid fainting, keep telling yourself it's only a play..."

The cast features Andy Collins (Harry/Harriet), Melinda Gilb (Flora, Gladys, et.al.), Fred Harlow (Fred/Freida), Tony Houck (Suzie), and Phil Johnson (Betty).

The creative includes Chad Jeager (Set Design), Kevin Anthenill (Sound Design), Jennifer Brawn-Gittings (Costume Design), Luke Olson (Lighting Design), Peter Herman (Wigs & Make-up Design), David Medina (Prop Design) Avalon Middleton (Stage Manager), BretYoung (Producing Director), And John E. Alexander (Executive Director).

Previews began October 24th. The production is scheduled to run through November 17..
