AlbertHall&Associates to Conduct Search for Globe's Artistic Leadership

The Old Globe's Board of Directors today announced that theater executive search firmAlbertHall&Associates (AHA) has been retained to conduct a nationwide search for artistic leadership for the Globe.  The Globe's Transition Committee, chaired by Vice Chair Elaine Bennet Darwin, will work closely with AHA throughout the search process over the coming months.

Chief Executive Officer and Executive Producer Louis G. Spisto departed The Old Globe on December 31, 2011 to pursue independent work as a theatrical producer.  Spisto was appointed Executive Director of the Globe in October 2002 and assumed the position of Executive Producer in January 2008.  Michael G. Murphy, General Manager of The Old Globe since April 2003, was appointed Interim Managing Director in October 2011. 

Co-founded by its Managing Partner and former Old Globe Managing Director Tom Hall, AlbertHall&Associates is a national consulting and executive search firm with clients throughout North America.  AHA will assist the Transition Committee in analyzing the Globe's organizational needs and identifying qualified candidates.  AHA provides support to many of America's leading non-profit performing arts organizations and has assisted many of the nation's top theaters with their leadership transitions, including The Public Theater, South Coast Repertory, Stratford Shakespeare Festival, Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park, Hartford Stage, Oregon Shakespeare Festival, Dallas Theater Center, Trinity Repertory Company and Actors Theatre of Louisville, among many others.
