This multi-program series celebrates Beethoven's first four symphonies and first three piano concertos alongside more recent works including the Texas premiere of Andrea Casarrubios's Afilador, Mary Kouyoumdjian's Tagh, and Britten's Simple Symphony. Featured performers include pianists Daniela Liebman, Jeneba Kanneh-Mason, and Jeffrey Kahane, cellist Tommy Mesa, and guest conductor Stephanie Childress. The series also includes a special interactive event, A Journey into Eroica, led by Kahane with the full orchestra exploring Beethoven's Symphony No. 3.
