The Playhouse San Antonio is pleased and excited to present the 2016-17 Season.

Some alterations have been made to the previously announced schedule. For each of the shows in the Russell Hill Rogers Theater, the company will have a #FoodTruckFriday on the second Friday of every run of a show in the RHR theater in addition to an ASL Night in which an ASL interpreter will help share the beauty of live theater with the San Antonio deaf community.

The dates of three of the productions in the Cellar Theater have been altered to better the patron experience. By removing conflicting dates with the musicals upstairs in the Russell Hill Rogers Theater, upcoming season purchasing options will be more flexible and sound distractions overheard from the big musical numbers taking place above will be reduced. Furthermore, this will allow production staff and the front of house team to better focus on the goals needed per production, further improving the patron experience.

The company will also be replacing a production of 'Nine' with 'Urinetown: The Musical'. If you're a fan of musical theater, you'll love the show and its high-energy parody of many Broadway hits.

Additionally, the company will be replacing 'A Christmas Carol' with 'All is Calm', a stunningly beautiful piece of theater that honors the efforts of the soldiers that fought for their countries and, in the face of humanity's darkest days, found a way to capture the essence of the peace and love for mankind. For this powerful show, the group is proud and honored to be partnering with The Marcsmen , San Antonio's premier men's a cappella group.

In the coming weeks, the community will see a few more of the fun and exciting changes happening with the company's web and social media presence.
