When the students at St. Anthony Catholic School in San Antonio, Texas returned from the winter holiday, many were very excited for the opportunity to participate in the middle school drama club's production of the LION KING, JR. Jennie Badger is the Director and Co-Founder of the group and wanted to give students a chance for students who enjoyed performing to have a place they could go. Badger, along with friend and teacher Ginger Schlather decided to start an afterschool drama club and the idea took off from there. Badger and Schlather involved parent volunteers and enthusiastic students as they worked tirelessly to create the sets, costumes, props and masks to make the LION KING, JR. a positive experience for the students participating and the audiences who enjoyed it. And St. Anthony is one of the first middle schools in San Antonio to take on this monumental production. It was successful and enjoyable for everyone involved.
