On January 2, 2010, David Davila LIVE, will feature a mix of Broadway, Cabaret songs, pop, and rock songs, some standards and some completely original. Christopher D. Littlefield will be accompanying Mr. Davila on piano, returning home for the holidays after finding much success both on Broadway and off-Broadway as a music director. He will also be backed up by his band, CORNER GIRL.

Here in San Antonio Mr. Davila has played many leading roles at local theatres, including playing Radames in Elton John's "Aida", Claude in "Hair", Charlie in "Brigadoon", and Jimmy in "Thoroughly Modern Millie", all at the San Pedro Playhouse. He has also played roles at the Cameo Theatre, Sheldon Vexler Theatre, Josephine St. Theatre, and Boerne Community Theatre. Mr. Davila is currently playing Mr. Fezziwig in the San Pedro Playhouse's production of "A Christmas Carol, the Musical", which I recently had the privilege of watching and reviewing. Mr. Davila's performance is not to be missed.

Says Mr. Davila, "This solo show is something I've wanted to do, and have been working on for some time now. It is sort of an accumulation of my life here in San Antonio. I am planning on moving to New York next year, and am hoping to try to find a venue there to keep doing cabaret."

All The Other Theatres in San Antonio are dark that night, having just closed shows, so this is one of the only theatre events going on. That probably means that it is also the perfect time for you to take a vacation, but if you happen to be in town, this is an event worth seeing.

No reservations are required for this one-night only event. Tickets may be purchased at the door and are $10 for general admission, and $5 for students. The show starts at 8pm at the Josephine Street Theatre, located at 339 West Josephine Street. For more information about the theater, please visit www.josephinetheatre.org.
