In the middle of a howling snowstorm, a bus out of Kansas City pulls up at a cheerful roadside diner. All roads are blocked, and four or five weary travelers are going to have to hole up until morning. Cherie, a nightclub singer, is the passenger with the most to worry about. She is being avidly pursued by a cowboy on the bus, while others are developing relationships of their own as they wait for sunrise.

Directed Kelly Roush, The Classic Theatre's production of Bus Stop has a stellar and hilarious cast including John O'Neill, Jim Mammarella, Kacey Roye, Hunter Wulff, and Alison Bridget Chambers in the role of Cherie.

Along with Tennessee Williams and Arthur Miller, William Inge was considered one of the finest American Playwrights of the postwar era. He was an expert craftsman who "wrote about simple human values, about the companionship, the love of human nature, that's important to life, about why we are alive. His plays never lose track of that." --the New York Times
