Everyone knows the story of The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde by Robert Louis Stevenson. Good versus evil. Right and wrong. It's an inner struggle in many people but Frank Wildhorn and Leslie Bricusse's musical adaptation really brings the story to a different level. Such is the touring production of JEKYLL & HYDE currently playing at The Tobin Center for the Performing Arts in San Antonio, Texas.

The cast of characters include Emma Carew, Dr. Jekyll's fiancé, played by Eryn LeCroy, John Utterson, Jekyll's best friend and lawyer played by Brad Grimmer, Lucy Harris, the prostitute Jekyll meets, played by Laura Helm, and Jekyll/Hyde himself played by Aleks Knezevich. As the show opens up, it's obvious that the talent in the show is huge and they all have great backgrounds in musical theater. Everyone has a chance to shine as they belt out such songs as "Façade," and the humorous song, "Bring On The Men." But, when Knezevich starts with "This Is The Moment," the audience is left breathless with the talent he has and obvious strength he has to pull off such a difficult song. Knezevich was an obvious audience favorite as Act II began and he sang such songs as "Streak of Madness" and "Confrontation." Another stand-out performance was Laura Helm's portrayal of Lucy Harris. She has a great voice and wonderful acting ability that makes the show topnotch.

Don't miss your chance to see JEKYLL & HYDE as it continues at The Tobin Center for the Performing Arts. There are two shows left; February 18-19 at 7:30PM. Tickets are still available by going to their website.
