Mothers, dress up your young princess in her best royal attire and attend the 1st Annual Princess Tea Party, sponsored by the Miss Orem Scholarship Program.

The special event will be held today, July 13 from 11:00am-1:00pm at the SCERA Center for the Arts, 745 South State, Orem. Tickets are $15/person, and children must be accompanied by a paying adult. Tickets may be purchased online at www.scera.org, by calling (801) 225-ARTS or in person at the main office at SCERA Center, open 10am-6pm weekdays.

Girls will learn how to be a princess, receive a Princess Gift Bag full of royal accessories, as well as a complimentary ticket ($10 value) to SCERA's production of the musical classic "The Sound of Music," playing July 5-20 at the SCERA Shell Outdoor Theatre.

Activities at the Princess Tea Party will include learning how to walk like a princess, fingernail painting, decorating a princess sash, enjoying royal refreshments, getting a photo taken with the Miss Orem and Teen Royalties, and enjoying a special performance.
