Pioneer Theatre Company will present its 2014 Bravo! Award tonight, May 9, 2014.

Each year Pioneer Theatre Company presents the Bravo! Award to an individual, foundation or corporation in recognition of significant philanthropic and civic contributions to PTC, the arts and the community. This year's honoree is Dan Lofgren and Cowboy Partners.

Pioneer Theatre Company had been seeking a permanent solution to its artist housing needs for fifteen years when Dan Lofgren joined the theatre's Board of Trustees in 2004. On his own initiative and his own expense, Lofgren secured an option for the purchase of the property that is now Meldrum House. He spent endless hours working with the city, community councils, engineers, and architects - and as a result of his commitment to the project, Lofgren and Cowboy Partners took a property that was a blight on the University of Utah neighborhood and turned it into the finest actor-housing in the country for Pioneer Theatre Company.

The award will be presented at the annual PTC Bravo! Award Gala fundraiser. Groups and individuals from the community are invited to attend the event to celebrate the honoree on Friday, May 9, 2014. Gala attendees will enjoy a reception and dinner at Rice-Eccles Stadium followed by a performance of Sweet Charity at Simmons Pioneer Memorial Theatre.
