Hale Center Theater Orem to Produce A CHRISTMAS CAROL, 11/30-12/23

Seen by nearly a quarter-million people since 1990, Hale Center Theater Orem is pleased to announce their 24rd annual production of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol. Each night, 29 actors and actresses will fill their small stage to tell the classic Christmas ghost story of second chances and the redemption of Ebenezer Scrooge. The show runs November 30 through December 23, 2013.

Once again, CHRIS H. BROWER returns to the role of Scrooge for the 18th time, having played the role nearly every year since 1995.

The cast also features, ERIC GLISSMEYER/CAM CAHOON as Bob Cratchit, DANIEL HESS/SCOTT HEALY as Marley's Ghost, LAUREN HUGHES/Lauren Anderson as Scrooge's erstwhile love interest Belle, CameRon Smith/MATTHEW JONES as Young Scrooge, ALLSION BOOKS/REBECCA NIBLEY as Mrs. Cratchit, HARPER MCGEE/MARK JEFFS as the Ghost of Christmas Past, and PATRICK BRANNELLY/Eric MannING as the Ghost of Christmas Present.

Written in just six weeks, the 1843 short story by Charles Dickens, A Christmas Carol-In Prose-Being a Ghost Story of Christmas, sold all 6,000 of its first printing within the first week and 3,000 more before New Year's. To this day, A Christmas Carol remains Dickens' most popular work.

A CHRISTMAS CAROL features the lyrics and music of Cody Hale with dialogue adapted from Charles Dickens' original story. Jerry Elison directs, with music direction by Cam Cahoon, and choreography by Jayne Luke. The design team includes Bobby Swenson & Nathan Hale (scenic design), MaryAnn Hill and Amanda Fitt (costumes), Janna Larsen (hair & make-up), Cody Swenson (lighting) and Cody Hale (sound).

Show Schedule:

Mondays- Saturdays at 8:00 PM

3:00 PM matinees are Saturdays, Nov. 30, December 7, 14, and 21.

5:00 PM matinees are December 10-23 (M-F)

11:30 AM matinees are Saturdays, December 14 and 21

2:00 PM matinees are on December 20, 23.
