The Grand Theatre is proud to present HAVING OUR SAY: THE DELANEY SISTERS' FIRST 100 YEARS by Emily Mann, adapted from the book by Sarah L. Delany and A. Elizabeth Delany with Amy Hill Hearth.

In Celebration of Black History Month, HAVING OUR SAY is the oral history of the centenarian sisters Sadie and Bessie Delany. It is about ordinary people who realize extraordinary achievements for more than one hundred years; from slavery to civil rights; witnessed , endured and revealed by two extraordinary women. Their story typifies the essential human condition of struggle and achievement, universal in its appeal and in the messages it communicates.

HAVING OUR SAY opens on Tuesday, January 26th with a half-price preview performance. The run continues through February 6th, 2010 (with no performances on Sundays). Performances are nightly at 7:30 with matinee performances on Saturday January, 30 and February 6th at 2:00 PM.

Ticket prices range from $8.00 to $24.00 with discounts for groups, seniors and students available. Reservations or more information call 801-957-3322 or visit www.the-grand.org.

HAVING OUR SAY is part of the Part of the Lewis Black Theatre Festival. For more information visit www.planbtheatre.org/festival.
