Desert Star Playhouse Presents LEGALLY BRUNETTE, 9/29

By: Sep. 20, 2011

It's the trial of the century! In Desert Star Playhouse's new comedy "Legally Brunette: Not All Dumbs Are Blonde," former NFL star, AJ Samson, is on trial for murdering his ex-wife, and thanks to his crooked attorney, he just might go free! It's up to perky Elle Woods, fresh out of law school, to discover the truth. This hilarious musical comedy for the whole family opens September 29th.

New Assistant Prosecutor, Elle Woods, is assigned to help Assistant DA, Marsha Clunk, with the biggest case of her career-the prosecution of AJ Samson. To put AJ behind bars, they'll have to beat Melvin Farkas, the famous-but crooked-defense attorney. He'll use every dirty trick in the book to win the case. Elle and Marsha will need the help of detectives Lenny Brillo and Joe Hunk-as well as a hilarious assortment of characters like Judge Judy and Napoleon Dynamite-to crack the case.

Written by Ben E. Millet and directed by Scott Holman, "Legally Brunette: Not All Dumbs Are Blonde," runs from September 29th to November 12th. The evening includes one of Desert Star's fantastic musical olios following the show. The "Zombie Prom Olio" features musical numbers of a spooky sort, along with more Desert Star-style comedy.

Food is available from an á la carte menu and is served right at your table. The menu includes gourmet pizza and hamburgers, fresh wraps, appetizers, and scrumptious desserts.
