A Year with Frog and Toad Plays Kingsbury Hall 11/18 - 11/20

Kingsbury Hall Presents and University of Utah Youth Theatre present the musical A Year with Frog and Toad, based on the children's stories by Arnold Lobel. Directed by Penny Caywood, with music by Robert Real and book and lyrics by Willie Real, A Year with Frog and Toad will be performed at Kingsbury Hall on the University of Utah campus on Thursday and Friday, November 18 and 19 at 7:00 p.m. and on Saturday, November 20 at 11:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.

A Year With Frog and Toad tells the story of two very different friends and their adventures through the seasons. Set along the Jordan River in Salt Lake City, it is a simple story with a deeper message. This story is about friendship and the fun and enjoyment that friendship brings to all of us. It does not matter that Frog is a frog and Toad is a toad. Their differences make their connection even more interesting because they can share with one another the beauty of what makes each of them special. Along the way, they are joined by friends of all different types: birds, squirrels, moles, a mouse, a turtle, a lizard and a snail. Together, these characters play, work and help one another. The true moral of Frog and Toad is that friendship and love are life's true joys.
