WHEN WE WERE YOUNG AND UNAFRAID to Open This Week at Mendocino Theatre Company
Sarah Treem's WHEN WE WERE YOUNG AND UNAFRAID is a moving drama that focuses on four women, each with a different idea of what it means to be female. MTC veteran Catey Simonton plays Agnes, a single mother who runs a bed and breakfast that secretly doubles as a shelter for battered women. Frances Jenks plays her daughter, Penny. Rounding out the ensemble are Nicole Traber as a young woman seeking shelter; Savannah Green as a radical feminist traveler; and Dan Mello as a songwriter from San Francisco. Lorry Lepaule directs this stellar cast.
WHEN WE WERE YOUNG AND UNAFRAID opens on April 21st at the Mendocino Theatre Company, 45200 Little Lake Rd. on the Mendocino Art Center campus.
It runs through May 29th with performances on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays at 8pm and selected Sundays at 2pm. For tickets or more information, contact the box office, 707-937-4477, or go to mendocinotheatre.org.
