Runaway Stage Presents ANNIE at the 24th Street Theatre, 11/9-12/2

By:

Little Orphan Annie will take to the 24th Street Theatre stage November 9 through December 2. In the classic musical, set in 1930s New York City, Annie finds refuge from an orphanage run by the embittered Miss Hannigan when billionaire Oliver Warbucks invites her to spend the holidays with him. Adventure and magic follow as Annie transforms all those around her. With the help of her delightful fellow orphans, she foils Miss Hannigan’s evil machinations and discovers the true meaning of family. Musical highlights include “Tomorrow,” “Easy Street,” “N.Y.C.” and “You’re Never Fully Dressed Without a Smile.”

Grammy-nominated Ray Fisher, an RSP regular who has been involved in seven different productions of Annie over the years, performs the role of Daddy Warbucks. Fisher also has experience staffing numerous productions as a vocal director and musical director, as well as serving as a former board member of RSP. Kate Richardson and Andrea St. Clair reprise their roles as Miss Hannigan and Grace Farrell. Hal DuBiel plays Rooster and Amy Jacques-Jones plays Lily St. Regis. Christen Smith plays the iconic title role.

Bob Baxter directs, Darryl Strohl choreographs, Deann Golz vocal directs, James Lohman directs music, Missie McVittie costume designs, Sherrika Darnell designs lighting, and Janas Durkee designs the sets.
