Off To The Races Event To feature The Sacramento Children's Chorus, Jazz Connection & More 8/22

"Off to the Races," the Race for the Arts' premiere event, continues its 11 year tradition in the beautiful garden setting of Pavilions on Fair Oaks Boulevard in Sacramento. As News10's Sacramento & Co. Melissa Crowley and Guy Faris emcee, guests will be treated performances from Sacramento Children's Chorus, and Sacramento Jazz Connection - in collaboration with their youth band, Razin' the Bar.

Enjoy a sampling of wines highlighting from El Dorado County (Boeger Winery, Perry Creek Winery, Mount Aukum Winery, Jodar Vineyards & Winery, Lava Cap Winery, Fitzpatrick Winery, Miraflores Winery) and a Martini Sample Bar from PowerHouse Pub and Scarlet's Saloon; along with an assortment of scrumptious hors d'oeuvres provided by Ruth's Chris Steak House, Piatti Ristorante & Bar, David Berkley Fine Wines and Specialty Foods, The Mandarin Restaurant, Babycakes Bakery, Silverado Resort Restaurant, and Lemon Grass Guests will unwind and capture the essence of the Arts.

New twist this year - perfect for arts enthusiasts and shopaholics alike. Visit Pavilions, relax, enjoy the shops and dining, but don't forget to fill out an entry form available at any one of the 24 stores and restaurants. From August 1 - August 22, all shops will have entry forms to fill out (name, phone number, e-mail - and, most important, your designated nonprofit arts organization or school music, drama, or art program).

The drawing will take place during the "Off to the Races" event. The person whose name is drawn will receive a $1,000 Pavilions shopping spree and their designated arts organization / school will receive $1,000.
