MSTW Presents PLAYS ON THE PATIO Image

For the past five years, Main Street Theatre Works has produced their One-Act Festival as a spring fundraiser for the company. This year, they're expanding their efforts to produce Plays on the Patio at the Preston Castle in Ione.

Plays on the Patio is a one-day only event, May 12, 2018, 6:30pm - 9:30pm, at the Preston Castle,

900 Palm Avenue in Ione, CA. Tickets are $40, which includes wine tasting from some of Amador's best wineries, plus a wine glass to commemorate the event. There will also be a variety of desserts to taste from the National Hotel in Jackson. Tastings begin at 6:30, and then at 7:30 guests will be treated to a series of one-acts, scenes and monologs performed by both MSTW company actors (Julie & Walt Thompson, Earl Victorine, Bethany Hidden, Kendrick & Kali Wells, Julie Anchor, Kelley Ogden, Brandon Rapoza, Cynthia Drumbor, Lee Marie Kelly, and Janey Pintar) and local Amador High students (Jeremiah Vela, Josh Lewis, Bryce Nelson, Erin Condon, Sid Cohen, and Lulu Briggs). Tickets for this event can only be purchased on-line at mstw.org.

This fundraiser helps to set the stage for MSTW's upcoming Summer Season at the beautiful Kennedy Mine Amphitheatre, located in the heart of Jackson. Kicking off the season is the hilarious and fast-paced comedy, Mama Won't Fly, from the same people who brought you last year's hit, Doublewide, Texas. The show runs June 22nd - July 21st. The second show is Escanaba in 'da Moonlight, a crazy comedy by Jeff Daniels. The show runs August 10th through September 8th.

Proceeds from Plays on the Patio also support the efforts of the Preston Castle Foundation, whose mission is to preserve, rehabilitate and utilize the historic Preston Castle. More information on Castle events at prestoncastle.com.

To purchase tickets to Plays on the Patio, visit the MSTW website at www.mstw.org. This event is guaranteed to sell out, so get your tickets today! Please note that there will be no Castle tours during the event, and there are no refunds.
