Imagination Theater Nominated for Thirteen Elly Awards
Imagination Theater, El Dorado County's homegrown theater on the El Dorado County Fairgrounds, has received thirteen Elly Award nominations for two of its productions for 2010-2011. The multi-media event, Bram Stoker's Dracula, received seven nominations including overall production in the drama category. Individuals receiving nominations include Carol Cramer and Terri Thomas (Costumes), Dave Patrick (Lighting), Peter Wolfe (Set Design), David Campfield (Supporting Actor), Jessicah Nuefeld (Supporting Actress), and Sarah Klaren (Lead Actress).
In February, Imagination Theater invited student intern, Bradley Cameron, to direct Charlotte's Web. In addition to being nominated for overall production in the Young People's Play category, five individuals were nominated including Haley Clark (Costumes), David Patrick (Lighting), Set Design (Karen Lewis), Tiana Vlaovich (Supporting Actress/Child), and Bradley Cameron (Direction).The 29th Annual Elly Awards are presented by the Sacramento Area Regional Theatre Alliance (SARTA) and honor outstanding achievements of community theaters and artists in the Sacramento area. The Elly Awards are named for the late Eleanor McClatchy, who was a devoted patron of the local arts. The Award Ceremony is held at the Crest Theater in Sacramento.
