The East Bay Center for the Performing Arts has announced an extension of its current presentation of  “In Search of My Father...Walkin’ Talkin’ Bill Hawkins."  W. Allen Taylor's award-winning, critically acclaimed solo show about family secrets and absent parents is infused with history, music and the influential Cleveland radio scene during the 1950s.

"We have decided to add performances because of the very positive response we've received from the audiences so far.  People have been returning to Richmond to see it for a second time" said playwright and actor W. Allen Taylor of Berkeley.

"We have received so many heartfelt comments from audience members who appreciate the healing aspects of the story. People are inspired by the way it has resonated with their own personal stories.  Audiences also appreciate the black radio history in the show, and how the period music has has added to their emotional journey. It's taking folks to a special place from our past" said Taylor.

Additional performances have been added for SATURDAY, 3/10 at 8pm and SATURDAY, 3/17 at 8pm. Tickets are $10 to $15.

The  East Bay Center for the Performing Arts is located at 339 11th Street @ Macdonald, downtown Richmond, Calif.
