California Musical Theatre To Announce Three Show Subscription 11/23

Having just completed its first full year at the new Cosmopolitan Cabaret theatre on Sacramento's K Street, California Musical Theatre is preparing to announce a three-show subscription season on November 23.

California Musical Theatre is finishing up its second production in the theatre, "Late Nite Catechism: 'Til Death Do Us Part," the eight-week follow-up to "Forever Plaid," which opened the brand new theatre in the former Woolworth's building at 1000 K Street and ran for a record-setting 11 months. The third production, "Sister's Christmas Catechism" opens November 24, for a limited six-week holiday engagement.

California Musical Theatre is making a change from the open-ended schedule of "Forever Plaid" in which no closing date was set for the musical comedy. The first two shows of the 2010 Cosmopolitan Cabaret season will run for 15 weeks and the final show will run 16 weeks. Patrons will be able to purchase packages with all three shows in advance and save 20 percent off the price of the tickets sold separately.

"We have found theatregoers to be very excited about this new space," CMT Executive Producer Richard Lewis said. "From the moment people saw 'Forever Plaid,' they asked 'what's next.' This new season will satisfy our patrons desire to come back to The Cosmopolitan Cabaret again and again.

The season will be announced on Monday, November 23, and three-show subscription packages will be available beginning Monday, November 30, at the Wells Fargo Pavilion Box Office, 1419 H Street.

The Cosmopolitan Cabaret is a 200-seat cabaret-style theatre, featuring 23 tables of four and seven rows of tiered seating with beverage counters. Adjacent to Paragary Restaurant Group's Cosmo Café, patrons can take advantage of cocktail service inside the theatre before the show.
