Drawing on joint projects leading experts of the world of ballet industry, Yekaterinburg theater provides the audience an opportunity to see the best of what exists today in the ballet world outside the "Swan Lake".

Terra Nova - an attempt to push the boundaries of conventional aesthetic representations of dancers and the audience raised on the classics. Share with us the fate of pioneers, not without difficulties, but full of exciting adventures and unexpected discoveries.

The area outside of the classics - this space is grand opportunities for the unknown actual choreography. Two extraordinary contemporary choreographer-establish its own rules here.

The first - an Englishman Paul Lightfoot - recognized worldwide authority on sontemporary dance. In his luggage 55 productions for the famous Nederlands Dans Theater, many of which are created in a creative alliance with Sol León. Ballet Step Lightly was coined in 1991 to six young dancers of NDT under the influence of the "Mysteries" - folk music performed by Bulgarian Choir, a powerful polyphony which combines the energy of the female and the male principle, the beauty of wildlife and the call of the primitive instincts. It was this work the choreographer chosen to debut in Russia.

Second choreographer - Vyacheslav Samodurov - is rapidly gaining the sympathy of the world of ballet choreography eccentricity of its thinking, and has gained popularity due to several successful works created specifically for the Yekaterinburg theater (three "Golden Mask" -2014 for "Variations Salieri" and one for "Santus Arcticus» ). His new ballet "The Curtain" is created to the music of Ottorino Respighi. "This composer with whom I feel the unity, rarely performed in Russia," - explains the choreographer in their musical preferences, while continuing to develop the musical taste of the public. With regard to the design of the play - he as always, prefers to keep it secret.

For Vyacheslav Samodurov - Paul Lightfoot continues to be the idol of his youth, and his work - a unique phenomenon in the world of dance:

"We are the first ballet company in Russia, which had the happy opportunity to try on the choreography Lightfoot and introduce her audience. Sex is not just talented, but also extremely charismatic, working with him - tremendous fun and unique experience. His work is strikingly modern - witty and dramatic, full of passion and energy. Working in the Dutch National Ballet, I've been at the premieres in NDT, I saw many of the works of Paul, and I always wanted him to dance choreography. Such possibilities me, unfortunately, it was not, so now I'm in the hall in an amicable envy his dancers. Dance is an incredibly difficult: difficult language and dynamic choreography designed for young dancers, which is the energy and the desire to express themselves through dance. It's hard to say what style of Lightfoot. Perhaps Sam Lightfoot - this is the style. Most of his ballets devoid of narrative, but always it seems like reading a book or watching a movie. In the works of Paul are always a lot of content - which is exactly what I especially appreciate in the ballets. These choreographers communicate with the public on a completely different level - not telling the story, exciting and emotional story. That's why they are able to tell a dance that can not be put into words. " Both the ballet performed to the soundtrack. The sponsor of the project - Fund for support of choreographic art "Eurasia ballet."
