"Le Corsaire" on the stage of the Yekaterinburg Opera and Ballet Theater
In Ekaterinburg (then Sverdlovsk) scene in "Le Corsaire" was first staged December 19, 1926 (choreographer - M.F.Moiseev, Conductor - N.B.Grubin, art director - A.V.Dubrovin).
The appearance of the ballet, well accepted by the audience, spoke volumes and, above all, the increased capabilities of the Sverdlovsk ballet, his indisputable recognition of the audience, and, consequently, the right to establish an independent and considerably more diverse repertoire. Critics, meanwhile, noted choreographer M.F.Moiseeva ability to interesting staging decisions "even the most modest financial and technical capabilities."
But soon "Le Corsaire" has disappeared from the repertoire, and only eighteen years later, he returned to the stage of the theater in the wording of the choreographer V.A.Kononovicha (conductor - A.G.Fridlender, art director - B.A.Matrunin). And it never disappeared from the repertoire for a long time. Since then, by this performance have not been, perhaps, none of the outstanding ballerina or dancer Yekaterinburg. The audience is always attracted loving spirit Byron's poem, which served as the prototype of the ballet, strong passions, pirates, plowing the Mediterranean, abducted the girl, the Turkish Pasha and the beautiful oriental women.

Konstantin Sergeyev carried out this performance in 1973 at the Leningrad Theater. Kirov (now Mariinsky), and in 1992 he resumed it at the Bolshoi Theater.

A good impression in the party Konrad, according to critics, producing young dancer Alex Nasadovich "physically strong, plastic and music."
26, 27 and 28 April 2007 on the stage of Yekaterinburg "Le Corsaire" appeared in the choreographic version by Jean-Guillaume Bar - choreographer of the Paris Opera.
