Romantic ballet is a very delicate substance, and it is still more so at this time of ours. It is difficult to be staged but there is a wonderful version by Lavrovsky of the choreography by Coralli, Perrot and Petipa which we tried to reproduce introducing in it, of course, our own reverent regard for romantic images of the classical ballet.
