Come along for the ride in this new musical about Manhattan's favorite green oasis, Central Park! Originally written in Russian by composer Dina Pruzhansky, Central Park the Musical premiered in 2013 at the JCC Manhattan (76th and Amsterdam) to two sold-out performances. Recently translated into English, the musical is back at the JCC for one-day-only with two Father's Day performances for the entire family. (Ages 4 and up recommended).

Central Park features an intergenerational cast of professional actors, including 8-year-old Special Music School student (and young Philip from the popular American TV show The Americans) Gabriel Gurevich. Many of the show's enchanting songs are based on the poetry of beloved Russian and Russian Jewish children's authors and the talented cast blends American-style musical theater with Russian operatic flourishes seamlessly. The set design and costumes delight, the choreography uplifts, and the lyrical melodies have you singing the catchy tunes long after you've left the theater.
