WPPAC Nak'd Stage Play Reading Series to Continue with Lillian Hellman's TOYS IN THE ATTIC, 51

The White Plains Performing Arts Center play reading series of classic, TONY honored Best Plays continues with Lillian Hellman's TOYS IN THE ATTIC on Friday, May 1 at 7:30 pm. Tickets are $10 each. The Nakd Stage Play Reading Series features actors with scripts in hand, no sets, costumes or props. IT'S ALL ABOUT THE WORDS.
Set in New Orleans following the Great Depression, the play focuses on the Berniers sisters, two middle-aged spinsters who have sacrificed their own ambitions to look after their ne'er-do-well younger brother Julian, whose grandiose dreams repeatedly lead to financial disasters. When he unexpectedly returns home accompanied by his emotionally unstable, childlike young bride Lily, her aloof, aristocratic mother Albertine, and an unexplained large sum of money, Carrie and Anna suddenly find that the position of power they have always held has become unbalanced, leaving their lives in chaos. The cast includes Saum Eskandani, Nashard Gales, Kathleen Huber, Catherine Nastasi, Rebecca Leigh Silverman, Tiffany Stoker, and Matthew Walters-Bowens. This staged reading of Lillian Hellman's TOYS IN THE ATTIC is directed by Anjanette Morton. Join us as we rekindle memories of great, award-winning plays and focus on the powerful words and intentions of amazing playwrights.
