From its earliest productions at the Globe to Cole Porter's Tony Award-winning musical Kiss Me Kate to modern film adaptations, The Taming of the Shrew comes alive for each generation, telling the story of the timeless battle of the sexes. Aquila Theatre breathes fresh life into one of Shakespeare’s most popularand enduring comedies, with The New Yorker describing their productions as “the classics made relevant with superb acting and clever staging.”
The Emelin Theatre, located in Mamaroneck, New York, and founded in 1972, is the oldest continuously operating performing arts theater in Westchester County. Its mission is to bring the best in live performing arts to Westchester and other nearby communities and to promote a cultural life that entertains, educates, and invigorates.
