The Rhode Island Women's Choreography Project (RIWCP) has a core mission to nurture, elevate, and empower artists whose voices are not traditionally heard. This year, eight choreographers from Rhode Island and beyond come together to present a collection of completely new works at the Festival Ballet Providence Blackbox Theatre.RIWCP supplies participants with studio space and dancers, both of which are hard to come by and expensive for choreographers who are not yet well-established. By providing a platform for artists of marginalized identities to develop their artistic voices, we aim to advance gender equity both onstage and off.Shows are at 1 and 5 pm at Festival Ballet Providence, RI. Tickets are $15.Read more about our choreographers and this year's project here: https://www.riwomenschoreographyproject.com/2022Approximate run time: 2 hours with one intermissionCovid-19 Information: All attendees wear a mask at all times during our performances, except when actively eating and drinking. All patrons will be required to show proof of vaccination when attending a performance.
