Ocean State Theatre Company Welcomes Robert Post's THE ONE-MAN VARIETY SHOW, 7/27

Ocean State Theatre Company will welcome Robert Post of Post Comedy Theatre and his presentation of The One-Man Variety Show on Friday, July 27, 2012. The production is part of Theatre By The Sea's 2012 Children's Festival, which is recommended for children 4 years and older.

Actor? Comedian? Dancer? Juggler? Robert Post creates a charismatic comedy feast that unleashes the imagi­nation and defies description. Equally at home in concert halls or classrooms, he's an entire theatre company him­self, specializing in rapid-fire character changes, even different roles for different body parts. The New York Times raved, "Post merits a place on anybody's all star team of the goofily gifted."

Over the past twenty-seven years Robert Post's work has been seen across the US and in Canada on national television (PBS) in a special award-winning special, "Robert Post-In Performance," and regionally in a variety of PBS educational programs for high school stu­dents. His one-man show was presented by Broadway's internationally acclaimed New Victory Theater to rave reviews and sold-out houses.

Robert Post will perform various works from his repertoire - all of which will be presented in a relaxed, improvisational performance style that breaks down the wall between performer and audience. As seen on "The Today Show," this brilliant Award-winning physical comedian presents a hilarious mix of unforgettable characters that's fun for all ages!

Between the performances, families can enjoy refreshments which will be available for purchase at the gazebo.

The One-Man Variety Show will be presented on Friday, July 27 at 10:00 am and 12:00 noon. The theatre is located at 364 Cards Pond Road, Matunuck, RI. Single tickets are $10.00 each.
