Following the success of ABC's "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" Colin Mochrie and Brad Sherwood, two stars of the Emmy nominated series, have teamed up to present an evening of improvisational comedy. The performance is coming to the The VETS on Friday, March 30 at 8P. Ticketsare available at the PPAC/The VETS Box Office, online at www.thevetsri.com and by phone at (401) 421-ARTS (2787). Tickets are $52 - $32; all ticket prices include a $2 per ticket restoration charge.

Regular Box Office Hours are Monday through Friday, 10A to 5P and Saturday, 10A to 2P. The on-site VETS Box Office is only open on performance days; hours vary, please call (401) 421-ARTS (2787) for specific times.

According to press notes, using their quick wit, Mochrie and Sherwood take contributions from the audience to create hilarious and original scenes. Throughout the evening, the show becomes interactive as audience members are called to the stage to participate in the fun.

Both Mochrie and Sherwood can be seen performing over fifteen times a week on Comedy Central and ABC Family. Their new DVD, "Two Man Group: Live and Dangerous Comedy," hits stores this month.

Colin Mochrie began his improv career after meeting and teaming up with Ryan Stiles (another "Whose Line"star). Shortly after doing Expo '86, Colin moved to Toronto. There, he auditioned for The Second City, a famous North American comedy theater, where Stiles was working at the time. Mochrie worked at Second City for three years.

Mochrie's first appeared on the British version of "Whose Line is it Anyway?" in 1991. His role on the American "Whose Line" got off to a rocky start when ABC wanted to drop Mochrie because they thought the comedian looked too old and not hip enough. Those involved in the show held their ground, and ABC was smart enough to see that talent and creativity were more important than 'hip' and the fans agreed, making Mochrie a popular mainstay on the American "Whose Line" stage, press notes state.

Mochrie has  spent time touring with the "Improv All Stars", and he continues to travel with "An Evening with Colin Mochrie and Brad Sherwood" regularly. He can be seen in commercials as the Nabisco Snack Fairy. He's been heavily involved in independent and small movie projects and is even involved in 'The Movie Co-op', which is a Canadian venture to help produce great Canadian movies funded by and run by the artists themselves.

Brad Sherwood is a regular cast member on ABC's "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" and was a regular on the British version on Comedy Central as well. His credits include "The Drew Carey Show," "The Green Screen Show," over 100 appearances on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," numerous appearances on VH-1's "I Love The 80's' & 90's," and guest hosting "Talk Soup."

Brad's other past credits include a season on "LA Law," "To Tell the Truth," "The Newz," and hosting "The New Dating Game." Brad occasionally performs with Drew Carey and Ryan Stiles as a member of the "Improv All-Stars" and recently was the guest announcer on "The Price is Right."

Both Colin and Brad can currently be seen in primetime on the brand new improv sketch comedy show, "Drew Carey's Improv-a-Ganza" on the Game Show Network.
