(Review) The Notebook musical brings romance — but uneven songs — to Orlando
The production does feature strong performances and emotional moments throughout the evening. The cast shares convincing chemistry, and several scenes — especially the famous rain kiss sequence — earned strong reactions from the audience.
Theater Review: ‘Beetlejuice’ elevates beyond the thrills and chills of the film
The music is incredibly catchy and witty, and when combined with the set, costumes, and a little theater magic, it adds up to a wonderful adapted version of the classic film that is equal parts high-energy, morbid, and meaningful. That’s not to say this version of “Beetlejuice” doesn’t make some changes to the classic story, it certainly does. But don’t worry, they kept all your favorite iconic moments, but freshened up the story and modernized it for the current generation. I was smiling and laughing like a madman most of the show. The comedy is top notch.
Theater Review: ‘Into the Woods’ brings a magical performance straight from Broadway
The cast oozed talent, notably Tony Award Winning Actresses Montego Glover and Stephanie J. Block, who portray the Witch and the Baker’s Wife respectively. They were just absolutely phenomenal. A surprise was the understudy for the role of Cinderella, Ellie Fisherman, who really made the character her own and delivered a fantastic performance.
