The entire production rests on the shoulders of Craig Allen Smith, who plays Daniel Hillard. An exhausting role that requires constant, frantic costume changes and non-stop vocal shifts. Smith deserves credit for the sheer logistics of the performance; watching him navigate the chaos of the famous double-booked dinner scene is genuinely impressive from a technical standpoint.

To call MJ another jukebox musical doesn’t give it its due credit. It’s an electric, theatrical experience that dives into the demanding creation of some of the most influential pop music in history. Whether you’re a lifelong fan or simply looking for world class entertainment, MJ doesn’t disappoint. Don’t miss your chance to catch this “Thriller” at the BJCC, running now through February 22nd.

It's a tough task to adapt a film starring comedic legends like Tim Curry and Madeline Kahn, and the stage show suffers slightly in the inevitable comparison. While the script remains a delight, the production lacked the frantic, over-the-top comedic fire that made the movie a masterpiece. The show is certainly entertaining and the ensemble gives a decent performance, but it simply didn't hold a candle to the film's singular brand of brilliance.

Understudy Marc Ginsburg, 'Beetlejuice,' delivered a performance filled with chaotic energy, embodying the manic spirit of the bio-exorcist with gleeful mischievousness and impressive vocal agility. The audience erupted in laughter at his impeccable comedic timing and delivery of witty, raunchy one-liners.
