Theatre444 is grateful to be the Regional Premiere of the new Broadway show, Dear Evan Hansen. Featuring a Tony Award-winning book by Steven Levenson (Fosse/Verdon), and a score by Grammy®, Tony®, Emmy® and Academy Award® winners Benj Pasek and Justin Paul (The Greatest Showman, La La Land, Dogfight, James and the Giant Peach), Dear Evan Hansen is a new classic, with a message that has resonated with audiences around the world: “You Will Be Found.”

Seventeen-year-old Evan Hansen has felt invisible his entire life. But when a tragedy shocks his community and thrusts him into the center of a rapidly evolving controversy, Evan is given the opportunity of a lifetime: the chance to be somebody else. As his web of well-intentioned lies begins to unravel, though, Evan is forced to confront the fact that the price of belonging may be far steeper than he bargained for.

Cast and Creative Team for Dear Evan Hansen at The Cobblestone Arts Center

Cast

Alex Ramos
Evan Hansen
Originally from Fairbanks, Alaska— Alex moved to Rochester at the end of 2020 during the pandemic. Storytelling is something Alex has been doing since he was a child. The stories he’d tell to get out of trouble quickly turned into a beautiful career on stage. After completing his undergrad from the University of Alaska in Music Education and Performing Arts; Alex went on to teach music all over the world with a non- profit organization, The Young Americans; with stints in Japan, the UK and Ireland, mainland Europe, Canada, and the US. Dear Evan Hansen is such a special show. Teaching us the power of togetherness and the importance of what it means to be found. If you ever feel lost, if you ever feel like you are not enough... You are not alone. Alex would like to thank the cast, crew, fiance (Adam), and the power of an anti-aging skincare regimen.
Kaylie Barbosa Kemler
Zoe Murphy
Kaylie Kemler (formerly known as Kaylie Barbosa) is thrilled to appear as Zoey Murphy in Dear Evan Hansen, marking her third production with Theatre 444. Previous roles include Alice in Alice by Heart and Mimi Marquez in Rent. She is currently in her second year pursuing a Master of Music in Music Education and Vocal Performance at the Eastman School of Music, where she recently presented her master’s recital and sings with the Eastman Chorale. Kaylie also maintains a private voice studio and teaches through the Eastman Community Music School. She holds a Bachelors degree in Vocal Performance from SUNY Geneseo and was awarded First Place in the 2024 Central New York NATS Lower Advanced category. She thanks her husband, parents, and siblings for their continued support of her lifelong love of music!
Damon Fletcher
Connor Murphy
You may remember Damon as Edward Bloom in our recent production of Big Fish, Thomas Weaver in The Story of My Life, Austyn in In Pieces, The Beadle in Sweeney Todd, Jarvis in Daddy Longlegs, Sister Mary Amnesia in Nunsense along with several other Theatre 444 productions like Pippin and Next to Normal. When not on stage Damon works as a creative services producer, digital content producer and news photographer and videographer at WROC News Channel 8 in Rochester. He has his bachelors in Broadcasting and Mass Communication at SUNY Oswego. He would like to thank Pamela Rapoza for the amazing opportunity, knowledge and experience. He would also like to thank the Cobblestone Performing Arts Center for welcoming Theatre444 to this wonderful venue once again.
Jennifer Walczak
Heidi Hansen
Jennifer Walczak is happily returning to the Theatre444 stage after appearing last in Sweeney Todd, How I Learned to Drive and RENT. Other favorite roles include the title role of Sylvia (Geneva Theatre Guild), Cathy in Last Five Years (Theatre444), and The Lady of the Lake in Spamalot (GTG) . Jennifer is a vocalist/performer for Nik Entertainment, as well as a cantor at St. Mary's church in Waterloo. She sends her deepest gratitude to the cast and crew for their trust and love, as well as to her family for their endless support behind the scenes. Special thanks to Jen's guiding light, her son, Giovanni.
Shannon DeRose
Cynthia Murphy
Shannon is thrilled to be joining another Theatre444 production! You may have previously seen her as The Beggar Woman in “Sweeney Todd,” Angus in “Alice By Heart,” or most recently as the Mayor in “Big Fish.” When she is not on the stage she spends her time homeschooling her three amazing kids and working as a Physician Assistant. She would like to give a huge thank you to her incredible family/village. There is no way all this would happen without you.
Pat Fegley
Larry Murphy
Pat has appeared in more than 100 theater productions over the past 35 years, despite the protests of directors and audiences across the region. Pat lives in Clifton Springs with his current wife, a rotating cast of children and pets, and the looming specter of his own mortality.
Lincoln Champlin
Jared Kleinman
Lincoln is excited to be returning to Theatre444 after playing Amos Calloway in Big Fish. He has also performed as Frank in Witch (HWS Theatre) and Eli Whitney in Anything Goes (Geneva High School). He is in his second year at Hobart and William Smith Colleges.
Natalie Mix
Alana Beck
Natalie is very excited to be performing with Theater444 again after being part of the cast of Big Fish last summer. Some other notable performances include The Spongebob Musical (Spongebob, Canandaigua Academy Players), You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown (Lucy Van Pelt, Finger Lakes Theater), and Continuity Error (Xana, Ghost Mark Studios). Remember, you are not alone.
