PAINT ME THIS HOUSE OF LOVE, written by Chelsea Woolley, explores the complicated relationship between a father and daughter as they both try to escape into their imaginations instead of facing their realities. When Jules appears at Cecelia’s house after twenty five years of estrangement to help her renovate it, the two must navigate the web of narratives they’ve told themselves and each other. PAINT ME THIS HOUSE OF LOVE examines the themes of familial love, truths, lies and and the intersection of the three. The Burning Coal production is the United States premiere of the play.
