Dr. Ride's American Beach House at Burning Coal Theatre

Dates: 6/13/2026 - 6/28/2026

📍 Theatre:
Burning Coal Theatre

Written by Liza Birkenmeier and co-produced with Brave New Classics, this play is set on the evening before Dr. Sally Ride's historic 1983 space flight. A group of women with passionate opinions and no opportunities sit on a sweltering St. Louis rooftop watching life pass them by, as their uncharted desires bump up against American norms of sex and power. The production is directed by Ruth Berry and produced by Noelle Azurlo and Laurel Ullman.
