NCSU Center Stage to Present LEO, 3/18-23

By:

NCSU Center Stage presents LEO, a mind-bending, funny, surreal, and surprisingly touching theatre work that challenges the senses and tests perceptions of reality through the clever interplay of live performance and high-tech video projection. Universally appealing to adults and children, LEO leaves audience members wondering which way is up and which way is down.

LEO is the unusual journey of an otherwise ordinary man whose world becomes physically unhinged. As time passes Leo becomes increasingly aware that all may not be what it seems. Leo's reaction to his situation evolves from alarm and insecurity to curiosity and eventually to playfulness. Having explored his dreams and desires and exercised his lust for life, Leo's final odyssey is the most important of all...the quest for freedom.

Winner of several major awards at the renowned Edinburgh Fringe Festival (including the Carol Tambor Best of Edinburgh Award, the Three Weeks Editors Award and the Scotsman Fringe First Award), LEO has gone on to dazzle audiences and critics in New York, Berlin, Montreal, London, Moscow, Hong Kong, Seoul, Sydney and in countries all around the world. In August 2013, LEO made an unprecedented third run at the Edinburgh Fringe.

LEO is produced by Y2D Productions (Canada) in association with Chamäleon Productions (Germany).

All ages. Run time: approximately 65 minutes.
