The 2010 - 2011 National Tour of Handel's Messiah Rocks: A Joyful Noise is coming to Raleigh's Memorial Auditorium for one performance only, during this limited holiday engagement. Handel's Messiah Rocks: A Joyful Noise, the groundbreaking musical event that blends classical music with classic rock and breathes new life into George Fredrick Handel's most performed oratorio, will play Memorial Auditorium on Saturday, November 20 at 7 p.m.

Handel's Messiah Rocks: A Joyful Noise features stunning visual effects, thrilling songs, an orchestra, rock band, adult and children's choirs and soloists with some of the most powerful voices on stage. You'll even hear some voices from the Triangle! Performing on stage with the cast of Handel's Messiah Rocks: A Joyful Noise will provide the Sanderson High School choir with the opportunity to gain professional theatre experience and discover what it's like to be part of a nationally touring company. They will also have the opportunity to perform one of the newest interpretations of the most celebrated oratorio in the world, in front of their own family and friends.

Having been performed annually for 240 years throughout the world the traditional composition has compelled its admirers to listen to and attend live performances many times throughout the year and now Handel's Messiah Rocks can be enjoyed at home both on CD and DVD available on Sony Integrity Records. Handel's Messiah Rocks: A Joyful Noise was adapted by Jason Howland and libretto adapted by Dani Davis is based on the original oratorio by George Frederick Handel with libretto by Charles Jennens. It is produced by NETworks Presentations, LLC and directed by Dani Davis.
