Altar Boyz, the acclaimed musical comedy, opens on Friday October 2nd and runs through Sunday October 25th in the RLT Sutton Main Stage Theatre. Altar Boyz is a spoof about a Catholic boy-band on the last night of their national "Raise the Praise" tour. It follows 5 small-town boys - Matthew, Mark, Luke, Juan and Abraham - trying to save the world - "one screaming fan at a time." Their pop act worked wonders on the Ohio bingo-hall-and-pancake-breakfast circuit. But when fate brings them to New York, will the boyz take a bite out of the Big ("forbidden") apple?

Based on the book by Kevin Del Aguila with music and lyrics by Gary Adler and Michael Patrick Walker, Altar Boyz was nominated for numerous 2005 Drama Desk Awards including Outstanding Musical, Outstanding Choreography, Outstanding Music, Outstanding Lyrics and Outstanding Book of a Musical.

Director: Haskell Fitz-Simons

Tickets for Altar Boyz can be purchased online at www.raleighlittletheatre.org or from the RLT Box Office at 919-821-3111. Additionally, Flex Passes are a great way to see shows at RLT. They are good for three shows and can be used one at a time, all at once or any combination.
