Prague Shakespeare Company presents AMADEUS by Peter Shaffer, directed by Guy Roberts, with live orchestral accompaniment by the City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by James Shearman, for one performance only, 30 June 2017 at 19:00 at Estates Theater.

AMADEUS will star Bill Roberts, Guy Roberts, Jessica Boone, Gregory Gudgeon, Peter Hosking, Scott Bellefeuille, AbiGail Rice, Jay DeYonker and Jan Thompson OBE with soloists Ivo Hrachovec and Christina Johnston.

Experience the Czech Premiere of the English language version of Amadeus by Peter Shaffer performed in the historic Estates Theater - where Mozart premiered Don Giovanni in 1787 and where Milos Forman filmed the Academy Award winning film of this Tony Award winning play. In the court of the Austrian Emperor Josef, Antonio Salieri is the established composer. Enter the greatest musical genius of all time: Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Salieri has given himself to God so that he might realize his sole ambition to be a great composer. Mozart is a foul-mouthed, graceless oaf who has that which is beyond Salieri's envious grasp: Genius.
