Profile Theatre will present a staged reading of a new play, Hungry. This is the first in Profile's In Dialogue Staged Reading Series of new and contemporary plays in conversation with Sam Shepard's body of work.

Presenting staged readings of new plays allows Profile to support and nurture contemporary playwrights, bring new voices in the American theatre to Portland, while further exploring the season's featured playwright and his influence.

Playwright Amy Claussen will be in attendance to discuss the play and answer questions. A game designer, freelance writer, and director based in the Bay Area, she most recently directed Lauren Gunderson's The Heath (Berkeley Repertory Theatre's Ground Floor Festival) and is a Drama League Directing Fellow. She was assistant director on Nora and Delia Ephron's off-Broadway hit Love, Loss, and What I Wore, starring a rotating cast of the actresses, including Rosie O'Donnell, Kristen Chenoweth, and Tyne Daly.

The staged reading of Hungry will take place at Alder Stage at Artists Repertory Theatre (1515 SW Morrison Street, Portland, OR) on Saturday, March 15 at 7:30pm and Sunday, March 16 at 2:00pm.

All seats are $15. To purchase tickets visit Profiletheatre.org or call 503.242.0080.
