Join Horton the Elephant, Gertrude McFuzz and the Cat in the Hat in this musical adventure through the limitless imagination of Dr. Seuss. From the tiny land of Who-Ville to the Jungle of Nool, Seuss's timeless tales leap from page to stage.
Seussical first opened on Broadway in the fall of 2000. In 2004, it was reworked by Theatreworks USA, streamlining the story and retooling some of the songs and dialogue. The new version has enjoyed huge success across two US tours, a run in London's West End, and in children's theaters across the country, including NWCT, which previously produced the show in 2006.

Seussical also marks the return of several cast members from the 2006 run. Reprising their leading roles are NWCT Resident Artist John Ellingson as the Cat in the Hat and Lucas Welsh as Horton the Elephant (a part that earned him a Drammy Award seven years ago). Veteran musical theater performer Kelly Stewart takes on the feather-filled role of Gertrude McFuzz, and young Henry Martin makes his fourth appearance on NWCT's Mainstage as Jojo of Whoville.
SeussicalTM pulls from many different stories by Dr. Seuss, including The Cat in the Hat, Horton Hears a Who, and Miss Gertrude McFuzz. In honor of the legendary author's birthday, closing weekend of SeussicalTM will fall on his 108th Birthday. NWCT will host a day-long celebration featuring games, crafts, and cup- cakes from Saint Cupcake. Families who attend the March 2 performance in costume will receive complimentary concessions.
