Musical Cabaret Revue, STILL CRAZY AFTER ALL THESE YEARS Opens Nov. 17 for One Night Only at Lakewood Theatre Company

By:
Jan Koenig and Lisa Knox, popular cabaret singers in the Portland metro area, present an evening of song in a one-night only production entitled Still Crazy After All These Years on Tuesday, November 17, 2015 at 7:00 PM. The singers, accompanied by the Bo Ayars Quartet, will perform their cabaret show on Lakewood Theatre Company's Side Door Stage at Lakewood Center for the Arts. You will hear songs familiar and unfamiliar, loved and beloved.

Still Crazy After All These Years (and we won't say how many!) is a walk down memory lane for these two performers as they laugh, joke, and sing their way through their own paths, as well as their path together as long time friends.

After "dabbling" in theater, particularly here in Lake Oswego, Lisa Knox went on to spend twenty five years in the music business as a professional singer, working in several successful bands in the Portland area. Singing everything from Top 40 hits, rock, disco, swing, big band, jazz standards, and country, she was able to make a living at music and raise three daughters along the way. She is now enjoying "dabbling" in theater once again.
Jan Koenig had the travel bug and spent time in Europe, eventually ending up in California for a number of years. She loved to sing, but it wasn't until she moved back to Oregon, and eventually connected with Bo and Barbara Ayars vocal workshops, that she spread her wings and started her own journey in the music business. She now sings at many Portland jazz venues and draws a well deserved crowd every time.

Jan and Lisa will be accompanied by the Bo Ayars Quartet. Bo has performed, arranged and conducted around the world. He has worked at Radio City Music Hall, the Kennedy Center, Carnegie Hall, as well as many halls throughout Europe. He has worked with an extensive list of performers that includes Elvis Presley, Barbra Streisand, and Debbie Reynolds, and was the conductor and arranger for Liberace for thirteen years.
Lakewood Theatre Company's Side Door Stage is a cabaret style theatre located in the Community Meeting Room at Lakewood Center for the Arts, 368 S. State Street in Lake Oswego. Food and beverages are available to purchase before and during the show. Ticket prices are $20 each. For additional information and tickets, call the Lakewood Box Office at (503) 635-3901 or order online at www.lakewood-center.org.
