The Pittsburgh Civic Light Opera, better known as the CLO, has a long-standing tradition of producing Broadway-caliber musicals during its summer season, frequently with an all-star cast of local favorites and New York visitors. This year, the company will be staging Singin' In The Rain, Legally Blonde, Footloose, Cats, and Monty Python's Spamalot... and they want YOU! The CLO is seeking trained singers and dancers age 18 and older, and character actors age 30 and older to fill roles and ensemble tracks in these five fantastic shows.

Auditions are by appointment, from Thursday, February 6 to Saturday, February 8, with callbacks on Sunday, February 9, at the Benedum Center. All auditioners should bring a headshot and typed resume stapled together, with a completed audition application from the CLO website. Additionally, singers should prepare 16 bars of uptempo and ballad musical theatre songs, and dancers should be prepared to dance ballet, tap or jazz combinations.

For more information, or to schedule a time and download audition forms, visit www.pittsburghCLO.org, or call 412-281-3973, extension 217. To all those reading this post... break a leg!
