Mitch Albom, author of the best-selling memoir, Tuesdays with Morrie, will share his most recent work, Have a Little Faith: A True Story of a Last Request, at the Byham Theater on Tuesday, October 20, 2009 at 7:30 p.m.

His newest book is an inspiring account of a remarkable eight-year journey between two worlds--two men, two faiths, and two communities.  Described as "funny" and "moving" by New York Life and "spellbinding", Mitch Albom's lectures are an inspirational exploration into life's everyday hardships and happiness. The lecture and post-show book signing are part of the Trust Presents series sponsored by Cohen & Grigsby.

Mitch Albom is the author of nine books, including The New York Times best-sellers Tuesdays with Morrie, The Five People You Meet in Heaven and For One More Day, all of which were adapted into major television movies for ABC. Produced by Oprah Winfrey, the movie version of Tuesdays with Morrie starred Jack Lemmon and Hank Azaria, garnering four Emmy awards as the most-watched movie on any network in that year.  Mr. Albom is also a nationally acclaimed newspaper columnist for the Detroit Free Press, host of two popular radio shows and a television sports commentator for ESPN and ABC. For his work in journalism, Mitch Albom has been named the #1 Sports Columnist in the Nation by the Sports Editors of America a record-breaking 13 times in the last 15 years. "Mitch Albom writes with insight and compassion. He is one of America's best young sports columnists," says NBC's Bob Costas. In addition to his accomplishment as a playwright and lyricist, Mr. Albom is a devoted philanthropist, having founded three charities for the benefit of the metropolitan Detroit area- The Dream Fund, A Time To Help, and S.A.Y. Detroit.
